thanks for the heads up! Dead or not, Jerrys personal policy on music sharing circumvents all the "legal" CRAP and just plain old censorship.

I downloaded the first two. By the time I got to the third, messages started popping up to say they were not available and had been deleted.

are you sure? I believe that the site states that you can only download up to 1GB/day. I only got through the first two as well. I'm hoping that I can jump back on tomorrow and complete the set. Anyone got the skinny?

On bt.etree.org's home page, download a bit torrent "client". I like Bit Tornado. Once its downloaded, open and save the torrent like you would any download. The "client" acts as a 3rd party relaying the files to your computer. The biggest diff is the speed is controlled by how many seeders are also downloading the same show. The higher the number of seeders the faster. No seeders, no speed. I'm currently stuck at 97% downloaded on the 7/7/78 Red Rocks show for instance as no one else is downloading it.

credit where credit's due:

This is an 8 disc set of all Garcia. Mixed with much love using Vegas
Pro 3.0. Selections are taken from The Grateful Dead, Reconstruction,
Legion of Mary, JGB & Garcia/Grisman. A week straight of late nights
went into this mix and a bit of red wine. Many tracks are continuous
even though they are from different shows. Thanks to JBL for the
inspiration. And above and beyond thanks to the Garcia for showing us
the way. This is for the people. Enjoy.

HFS!! I'm only through the first two discs - this brings it to the HNL! This is definately a must have. Many, Many Thanks both to the creator of these discs (I'm sure it was a labour of LOVE!) and to Gumpy for letting me in on this.
